Flyboy Entertainment frontline act, Kizz Daniel is not having it good at the moment, as he is facing a fresh crisis with his former record label, G-Worldwide, following another lawsuit totaling N500 million.
  
In the originating summons filed by, G-Worlwide counsel, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), the record label, seeks legal redress for breach of recording contract against the artiste and infringement of its intellectual property rights by the artiste.
 
When the matter appeared before the High Court sitting in Lagos on Monday, October 7, the claimants prayed the court for a stay of proceedings so it can settle the matter via the alternative dispute resolution method, arbitration – a stipulation of he contract signed between both parties. Another prayer by the label before the court was for an amendment of originating processes.
   
A break down of the claims put the figures as follows —N200,000,000 in general damages, N179,499,957.00 in special damages for breach of contract and N150, 000, 000 for contract exit fees, among other reliefs. The matter has since been adjourned till January 21, 2020.
   
The Laye singer had earlier this month released two new singles — Pah Poh and Pak n Go (pronounced Pack and Go), which is generally believed to preach liberation from abuse and underappreciated lovers.
   
The record, which was produced by highly gifted DJ Coublon, is Kizz Daniel’s third official for the year, and it comes after the release of his previous single titled Eko. Commenting on the song in a radio interview with Olisa Adibua and Osi Suave, said “the song speaks for both gender, who give their best in any form of relationship but are abused and underappreciated.”He explained that the song was inspired by oldie song titled My Own by Life Oyima. He shared a video on his Instagram handle and captioned it “my source of inspiration.” A fan brought to his awareness the current status of the man via a video call, and without wasting time, Kizz Daniel got in contact with the old man and gifted him and his family the a sum of N1 million naira.
   
The song received knocks from social media users, as people called out the Yeba crooner for body and marriage shaming women in the song’s lyrics.Recalled that a few years ago, the singer was embroiled in a contractual dispute with his then-record label, G-Worldwide. The issue was his desire to breach the terms of his contract and exit the label without fulfilling the terms of his contract.
   
As a result of the dispute, an injunction prevented him from performing throughout the festive period of December 2017. It also led to him changing his name from ‘Kiss Daniel’ to ‘Kizz Daniel’. G-Worldwide had trademarked the name, ‘Kiss’.While with G-Worldwide, he released the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Headies-winning 2016 debut album, New Era.
