Fast-rising Ghanian singer Black Sherif has been sued for an alleged breach of contract by the CEO of Waynes Chavis Consult.

The singer whose song Kweku The Traveller is currently trending has been accused of abandoning Shadrach Agyei Owusu after he invested in his career.

Black Sherif had signed a distribution deal with Empire, an American distribution company and record label, a few weeks back. However, his supposed manager has claimed that the artiste had signed the deal without telling him, breaching the contract clause requiring the artiste to carry out all his activities through him – Shadrack Agyei Owusu.

Hence, Owusu has filed a court case requesting that the court grant him about four relives.

  1. Requests the court to prevent Black Sherif from performing at events that he has not given consent to.
  2. To order all funds accrued from the artiste’s online streams to be preserved.
  3. To appoint a receiver is appointed to receive all funds from the use and exploitation of Black Sherif’s image.
  4. Any other orders the court may deem fit.

These demands were contained in the writ of summons dated April 11, 2022 to which Black Sherif and his lawyers are required to respond within eight days.

However, the artist and his lawyers are yet to address the lawsuit publicly.
