Los Angeles Robbery Results In The Death Of PnB Rock
PnB Rock, a rapper from Los Angeles, was shot and killed in a robbery in the city.
The rapper, best known for his 2016 single “Selfish,” was fatally shot on Monday at the South Los Angeles Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles restaurant, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The 30-year-old rapper and his girlfriend had been at the restaurant when the event occurred, and she had uploaded a location-tagged picture on Instagram before the incident.
Captain Kelly Muniz of the Los Angeles Police Department said that the robber demanded stuff from the victim while brandishing a gun inside the eatery.
According to sources, Rock’s jewellery was the item wanted, according to the Times.
“The victim was shot almost immediately by the assailant during the robbery,” Muniz said.
“He shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot.”
The captain confirmed that the rapper was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead at 1:59pm. Investigation is ongoing to determine if camares within and outside the restaurant, caught the face of the shooter, or when on the run.
He also worked on “Leave Em Alone” with rappers Lil Baby and the City Girls in 2019, as well as “Cross Me” with Chance the Rapper and Ed Sheeran.
On September 2, “Luv Me Again,” his most recent single, was made available.
