The latest season of the popular Nigerian reality television show Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has welcomed its first-ever married couple as contestants. Kassia and Kellyrae, who are going by the name “Double Kay” in the house, revealed in their pre-show introduction that they plan to keep their marital status a secret from the other housemates.

“We’ll tell them we’re besties,” the couple said, setting the tone for an interesting dynamic in the BBNaija house. Interestingly, Kellyrae are the first married couple to participate in the long-running reality show.

Big brother naija theme

The theme of this season of BBNaija is “Dynamic Duo,” with contestants entering the house in pairs of friends, couples, twins, and even a niece-aunt duo. Also, all of the housemates will be competing for the grand prize of 100 million Naira.

In their pre-show introduction, Kassia and Kellyrae presented themselves as a married couple. They revealed that they dated for 10 years and got married in February 2024. Additionally, they mentioned that they would omit any mention of their marital status while in the house. This move is a strategy that could give them an advantage in the game. Keeping their relationship a secret may allow them to form alliances and navigate the dynamics in the house more easily.
