The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has announced her intention to launch her clothing line later this year.

The Duchess who recently guest-edited the September issue of Vogue magazine made this announcement in the same magazine. She is set to partner with Misha Nonoo, fashion brand Jigsaw, British retail stores, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis, to bring the new range of women’s work wear to royal fans.

There will however be a twist to her fashion line as the profits made from the collection will go to Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed and vulnerable women get back into the workplace.

In the Duchess words:

“For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity, not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together.”

Meghan Markle has been busy since her marriage to Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, her most recent achievement being the selection of an assemblage of women who were “trailblazing change-makers, united by their fearlessness in breaking barriers” for the Vogue magazine. This serves as an empowerment to women.

The recent announcement in the fashion line further focuses on her determination to ensure all women are adequately empowered.
