MI Abaga Announces Plans To Retire His Stage Name
Nigerian rapper Jude Lemfani Abaga, MI has revealed that he will be retiring his stage name “Mr. Incredible Abaga (MI Abaga)” in preparation for his forthcoming album.
MI shared the news of his name change in a post on his social media on Thursday.
He further revealed that his last performance as MI Abaga would be on 10th July 2022 as he celebrates his legacy as Africa’s greatest rapper.
He noted that his forthcoming album goes “hard,” and it is only right that he unveils the project using a name that matches it.
He wrote, “After over 15yrs as minister incredible, I will be retiring the name “MI Abaga” and taking on a new name for my new project bcuz, my new album hard af and it deserves a new name”.
While MI is yet to drop more details of his seventh studio album, he released the lead single off the album “Daddy” back in March.
MI released his first album ‘Talk About It’ in 2008. His second album’ MI2: The Movie’, his second album, followed in 2010.
His last project was “Judah the E.P.,” released in 2020.
