American singer and actress, Miley Cyrus, has revealed the artwork for her upcoming ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, set to drop on 30 May 2025 through Columbia Records.

The album features 13 original songs, with Cyrus teaming up as executive producer alongside Shawn Everett, known for his work with artists like Beyoncé and Adele.

The cover, shot by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford, presents Cyrus in a vintage 1997 Thierry Mugler couture piece, reflecting the album’s bold and glamorous vibe.

Something Beautiful takes cues from Pink Floyd’s classic album The Wall, with Cyrus aiming to blend its conceptual depth with a modern, pop-culture flair.

Reflecting on her musical evolution, Cyrus’s debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), marked her transition from Disney Channel star to recording artist. Breakout (2008) showcased her growth with hits like “7 Things.” Can’t Be Tamed (2010) introduced a more rebellious edge, while Bangerz (2013) embraced an edgier, hip-hop-influenced sound, featuring chart-toppers like “Wrecking Ball.” Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz (2015) explored psychedelic themes, and Younger Now (2017) marked a return to her country roots. Plastic Hearts (2020) delved into rock influences, and Endless Summer Vacation (2023) continued her genre-blending music artistry.

Beyond her music, Cyrus has some lesser-known facets. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, she legally changed her name to Miley in 2008, a nod to her childhood nickname “Smiley,” reflecting her cheerful nature.

Her godmother is country music legend Dolly Parton, highlighting a deep-rooted connection to the industry. Cyrus also has a congenital heart condition called tachycardia, causing her resting heart rate to be higher than average.
