2Baba admits posting divorce announcement, denies hacking claim
Popular Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba, has admitted to personally posting the viral announcement about his separation and divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
In a video shared via his Instagram story on Sunday, the singer addressed the controversy, stating, “Yeah, bless all my people. Nobody hacked my account, nah me yarn wetin I yarn.”This revelation comes after social media was thrown into a frenzy earlier in the day when an Instagram post from 2Baba’s verified account announced the couple’s separation.
The post read, “Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long. I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and have currently filed for divorce. I would grant a press release soon to say my story, not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all.”Shortly after, another post appeared on the account, claiming it had been hacked. “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control,” the post read.
