
Nigerian music star, Davido, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to American singer, Chris Brown, and Nigerian sensation, Tems, following their victories at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
On Monday morning, February 3, 2025, Davido took to X to express his pride and joy, writing: “Congratulations to my one and only :goat:! @chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby, we are proud of you! :muscle::skin-tone-5::earth_americas::star:️”
Chris Brown secured the Best R&B Album award for his 2024 release, 11:11 (Deluxe), while Tems clinched the Best African Music Performance category with her hit track, ‘Love Me JeJe’.

Davido’s collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay on the song ‘Sensational’ was also nominated in the Best African Music Performance category but did not win.
Other nominees who missed out on the award include ‘Tomorrow’ by Yemi Alade, ‘MMS’ by Asake featuring Wizkid, and ‘Higher’ by Burna Boy.
Similarly, in the Best Global Music Album category, Rema’s HEIS and Tems’ Born in the Wild lost to Matt B’s Alkebulan II, alongside Ciro Hurtado’s Paisajes and Antonio Rey’s Historias De Un Flamenco.
The 67th Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrated a diverse array of talents, with Nigerian artists making significant impressions on the global stage.
