Dj Snake And Burna Boy Collaborate On New Album ‘Carte Blanche’
International disc jockey and producer, DJ Snake has recently released his sophomore album titled ‘Carte Blanche’ which features a wide array of multinational artists.
Following the release of chart topping hits such as, ‘Taki Taki’ featuring Cardi B, Selena Gomez, and Ozuna, the album features many hot tracks that are sure to become club anthems. The project is a collaboration-packed album with features from Burna Boy, 21 Savage, Tyga, Bryson Tiller, and Majid Jordan. “May this album be the soundtrack to your summer ‘19 and every summer after that” Snake shared via Facebook.
“Carte Blanche means freedom to do whatever you want.” Snake explains, “That’s how I work. No formula to follow. I wanted to make a summer album with a mixtape feel, of all the sounds I want to hear in summer and I went to artists I knew could do exactly that“.
This notion pairs perfectly with the album’s cover art, ‘L’arc De Triomphe’. The album’s artwork is a picture of the left hand corner of the L’arc De Triomphe in Snake’s hometown, Paris. Completed in 1836, the structure is a global symbol of Freedom, Power, Resistance, and Peace. In September 2017, Snake DJ’d on top of the famous monument. He stood on a makeshift stage permeated with coloured lights.
Since releasing ‘Encore’, he has achieved over 13 billion streams of his music, and is one of only 5 artists in the world to have 2 tracks with 1 billion streams each on Spotify.
