Kubwa, a satellite town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stood still last Saturday as iconic act Olamide Adedeji and rapper extraordinaire, Phyno, led four other A-list artistes to unleash uncommon fun and sublime entertainment on its residents.

The Public Service Institute, venue of the show, was filled to its capacity with happy Glo subscribers, who savoured the rich menu of hip-hop, R‘n’B, dance hall, rap and street beat served by the acts.

Phyno and Olamide were simply awesome. Phyno performed first, while Olamide joined him on stage as he was rounding off his Fada Fada track. The hall was thrown into wild ecstasy as they did a number of songs together.

The Kubwa edition of the Glo Music Fest tour also paraded the likes of Butterfly exponent, Korede Bello, dance hall master, Runtown, Hip-hop diva, Yemi Alade, and Mama crooner, Kiss Daniel, with DJ Nana, complementing them on the wheel of steel.

Three Nollywood icons, Sani Danja, Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), added pep to the show, while Ghana’s Juliet Ibrahim and Nollywood damsel, Uche Jombo, compered the show.

The event offered more than music and dance, as it also became an occasion for celebrating one of the artistes. Korede Bello, who performed after Katch, surprised the crowd, when he announced that there was a birthday boy in the house –– dancehall master, Douglas Jack Agu (a.k.a) Runtown. The artiste came up on stage as Uche Jombo and Juliet Ibrahim brought a cake to the stage to celebrate his birthday. KOK and RMD also joined in the cutting of the cake.

Runtown was greatly thrilled, and he promised to reward the crowd with a spectacular performance as they cheered him on. He delivered all his tracks with deftness. He also had words of praise for Korede Bello for dishing out N200,000 to Glo subscribers, who danced perfectly to his God win track.

Further excitement was added to the show by Kanayo O. Kanayo, who re-enacted his grandiloquent speech mannerism as Professor Johnbull in the Globacom-sponsored TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull.

After he was introduced by the anchors, KOK intoned, “I am flabbergasted and perpetually overwhelmed to be part of this Globacom entertainment brouhaha, which I know will make all of you ‘petrifiedly’ entertained. This is indeed an entertainment voyage, expedition, cruise and glide. I enjoy all of you to be immersed, engrossed, absorbed and wrapped up in the fun to come,” and the crowd chorused: ‘Professor Johnbull!’
