Mercury Prize-winning Nigerian Artist Skepta real name Joseph Junior Adenuga is set to headline the 2019 Manchester film festival.

The artist is working with google labs to create a Dystopian future to play on show people his own imagination of the future. Be is scheduled to perform in an intimate performance for about 1000 people. His work is titled Dystopian 987.

The festival which will feature Idris Elba’s co-written work with Kwame Kwei Armah titled Tree is a film that will take audience through an experience of South Africa.

According to Idris Elba he had desired to work with Kwame Kwei Armah for a long time and is excited in the project.

The show will be opened with Yoko Ono’s message of peace to the world

Manchester international festival run from 4-21 July 2019.
