This Week’s Surprising Musical Revelations

This week has seen some daring moves from musicians, especially rappers, both in and out of Nigeria. Take a look at the news stories from the music industry that made our week.

Pusha T on a dissing spree

Just after dropping his album, Daytona, Pusha T has dropped a diss track in reply to Drake’s titled The Story Of Adidon. In what is now considered as the height of their long-time feud, he reveals that Drake has a child with a pornstar and has refused to take responsibility. “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home, deadbeat motherf*****.”

This revelation has caused mixed reactions on the internet. Some see it as crossing the line and others seeing it as a mere diss with no sentiments.

Falz dropping “This is Nigeria”

This video has received lots of reactions on the internet from the moment it was released to famous artist P Diddy reposting it on his Instagram page. This is Nigeria has sparked many reactions to the failed system in the country and what should be done about it.

Falz also explained the concept of the video to people who felt it wasn’t an original idea and were offended. The video sheds light on topics like drug abuse, corruption, police brutality and more.

Sinzu remains Sinzu

Davido is constantly growing the thirty-billion gang as he recently just signed another artist, Sinzu, to DMW. Rumours of this move have been making rounds after the two artists performed together at Davido’s show in Washington DC and Davido revealed his plans to add someone to the team.

Sinzu has been off the radar for a while, serving two years in a US jail for identity theft and fraud. Davido and Sinzu have previously collaborated on a track titled Carolina. We can’t wait to see what they have in store.
