My 5th album will change everyone’s life – Davido
Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that his upcoming fifth studio album will have a life-changing impact.
Davido disclosed this in a recent video while relaxing in his private jet with his wife, Chioma.
He said, “In 2025, my fifth album is going to be amazing. It’s gonna change everybody’s lives.”
On December 5, 2024, Davido confirmed that the highly-anticipated project, aptly titled 5ive, will drop this year.
“This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

The rollout has already begun, with the Nigerian-American star releasing the single Funds, featuring Odumodublvck and Chike.
He added, “This one’s for the dreamers, the go-getters, and everyone chasing what’s theirs! Thank you for riding with me. Let’s make history again!!!”
The single Funds samples Brenda Fassie’s iconic 1997 hit “Vuli Ndlela.” Fans may recall Davido performing the song with Odumodublvck during his birthday concert at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
5ive follows two years after his chart-topping album Timeless, released on March 31, 2023, via Davido Music Worldwide, Columbia Records, and Sony Music Entertainment.
Timeless peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 37 on the Billboard 200. It also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album in 2024.
The album’s standout track, Unavailable, featuring Musa Keys, climbed to No. 3 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and was nominated for Best African Music Performance.
