Naira Marley Announces Online Concert For Marlian Day

Naira Marley, the president of Marlians, has announced a free Online concert for Marlian Day on Saturday May 30th. The show will be the first of its kind for the artiste during the lockdown.

Social Media and online platforms have become a highly valuable tool for artists to connect with and engage with their fans during this lockdown period and may continue even after.

Naira Marley will be bringing the live concert experience to his fans at home from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. To be a part of the concert, subscribe to Naira Marley’s Youtube channel and Gidi Fest Facebook page.

His live Online concert will feature his hit tracks “Soapy”, “Tesumole”, Marlians anthem “Opotoyi” as well as featuring special guests WurlD and Zlatan alongside Marlian Music artists, Zinolesky, Moh Bad and Cblvck.

Naira Marley has been popular for his controversial views about issues and also for his different cases with the EFCC, however, he has managed to amass fans from different parts of the world for himself.

During the coronavirus lockdown, he came out at different times to say he does not believe there is anything like coronavirus, this generated lots of argument and disagreement on social media platforms.

Naira Marley released the Zlatan-assisted track “Am I A Yahoo Boy” on 3 May 2019, and was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that same day. He released “Soapy” on 27 June 2019, a few days after he was released from prison.

On 11 January 2020, he won Viewers’ Choice for “Soapy” at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards.

During the “Marlian Fest”, which was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites on 30 December 2019, Naira Marley announced the launch of his record label Marlian Records and unveiled CBlvck, Zinoleesky, MohBad, and Fabian Blu as signed acts.
