Nigerian celebrities face off for ₦50m prize at Lagos Liga

With a ₦50 million prize up for grabs in the Lagos Liga, Here are the stars leading the charge and bringing their flair to the pitch.
1. Don Jazzy and Supremos FC
Music producer and entrepreneur, Don Jazzy is making his mark in the football world with his club, Supremos FC. Recently registered with Lagos Liga, Supremos FC is ready to take on the competition starting in December.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this innovative league. We’re committed to developing grassroots football and providing a platform for talented players to shine,” he said.

2. D’banj and Koko FC
Hot on the heels of Don Jazzy, D’banj has announced his own football club, Koko FC.
Set to compete for the same N50 million prize, D’banj is on the lookout for talented players. He’s inviting aspiring footballers to showcase their skills by uploading 1-minute videos on The Cream platform.
The top-voted players will earn a chance to join Koko FC. “Upload a 1-minute video of your skills on the pitch… The top-voted players will be picked, and we’ll meet up on the pitch for a physical game to select the team!” he shared on X.
3. Tacha and Tacha FC
Big Brother Naija star Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has jumped into the football frenzy by acquiring her club, Tacha FC. The announcement made waves on social media, where Lagos Liga celebrated her entry into the league: “New Lagos Liga club owner alert: Anita Natacha Akide. In short, the inimitable TACHA! @Symply_Tacha. Formal announcement to follow. Tacha FC is here.” Her passion for the sport promises an exciting journey ahead.
These clubs are just few among several new clubs making their debut in Lagos Liga, which has quickly gained a reputation as Nigeria’s private football league.
Other newly signed clubs include Mavbrooks SC, founded by entrepreneur Ayodeji E. Olowe; Applebee FC, led by Nnazilim Egbuonu; Firecrackers FC, initiated by tech entrepreneur Stephanie Etiaka; and Jarus FC, established by Suraj Oyewale, aka Sir Jarus. Each club brings unique talents and ambitions to the field, setting the stage for a thrilling tournament.
As these stars take to the pitch, Nigerian football fans can expect a year-end filled with excitement, skill, and entertainment.
