A 46-year-old Nigerian woman who recently went public about her struggles with loneliness and remaining a virgin has begun receiving marriage proposals from within Nigeria and abroad, according to a new update from Agidigbo FM.

The woman, who chose to keep her identity private, had shared her emotional story during an interview on the radio programme Kokoro Alate, hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat.

She spoke about being single her entire life despite being “hardworking and independent,” and described the deep sense of rejection and isolation she has faced over the years.

“I am 46 years old. I have never had sex. If there’s anything you can use to test me, you can do it,” she said during the broadcast.

“I am not the one pursuing the men away from me. I am selling goods. I do not like following men all around, but I do not know how to run after men. Three years ago, I discovered that men see me as an aged woman. When children see me, they call me grandma. I noticed that it was becoming too much. That is why I am here for you to help me.”

In a follow-up episode, Hamzat confirmed that several men have expressed interest in marrying the woman

According to him, suitors have reached out not only from Nigeria but also from the United States and the United Kingdom.

Hamzat extended an open invitation to the woman to return to the station to discuss the recent developments and explore the next steps.
