Travis Scott Not Angry With Cardi B Over Grammy Win

No feuds here! There is no bad blood between rappers, Travis Scott and Cardi B despite his ‘Look Mom I Can Fly’ documentary which recently dropped on Netflix.

It would be recalled that at this year’s Grammy awards, Cardi B clinched the coveted Grammy for Best Rap Album after edging out the competition of which Scott is included.

Fans were quick to assume that Scott is not pleased with the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper when a part of his ‘Look Mom I Can Fly’ sees a visibly upset Scott k Mom I Can Fly” after Cardi took home the trophy back in February.

However, a report by the celebrity gossip site, TMZ has shut down the rumours as it claims that sources close to the ‘Astroworld’ rapper say it was absolutely not anything personal. As a matter of fact, his emotions only surfaced because of all the hard work he put into his “Astroworld” album and he just really wanted to win, plain and simple.

Cardi on her part had to defend herself against some Scott fans on Twitter, saying,

“I wasn’t even thinking of winning or even the Grammies. All I can think about was…everybody is disappointed in me, am I still going to have a career after this baby? Is this album going to make me or break me? I need to finish before I start showing.”

She continued,

“So when I won a Grammy for it I didn’t have no words to say but when I went home I started reminiscing on what I went thru during that period I was like YEA BITCH YOU DESERVE THIS SHIT! And until this day my shit still charting.”

It is further learned that Scott and Cardi have even been super cool since then with Cardi’s husband, Offset who himself also a rapper showing up at the big Netflix premiere event for the documentary.

It is noteworthy that Cardi B became the first female rapper to win the Best Rap Album with her ‘Invasion of Privacy‘ since it was first won by a female rapper in 1997 when Lauryn Hill won in this category with the Fugees.
