No Fake Nails and Eyelashes In Tanzania Parliament
Female members of parliament in some countries attend ‘court’ in style with their well-groomed hair, well manicured talon-like fake nails and feather-like eyelashes. Their Tanzanian counterparts will not be allowed to wear fake nails and eyelashes to parliament.
The Speaker Job Ndugai have banned the Lawmakers in Tanzania from entering parliament with fake nails and eyelashes. Visitors are also required to respect and obey the ban.
Mr Nduga imposed the ban after Deputy Health Minister Faustine Ndugulile had expressed concerns about the health danger present in using fake nails and eyelashes.
According to Mr Nduga, Lawmakers are also not allowed to don wear dresses and jeans to parliament.
