Orlando Bloom’s Proposal To Katy Perry Is Adorable

Orlando Bloom’s proposal to Katy Perry on Valentine’s Day did not just happen with a beautiful flower-shaped diamond ring; it also came with an adorable detail.

The singer, 34, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night and revealed that Bloom did not hold back anything when he asked her to marry him in a helicopter above Los Angeles.

“We went to dinner and I thought we were going to go see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter,” Perry said.

“The funny part is we had champagne in the helicopter and the [ring] box was in his pocket and he had written down everything he wanted to say on a note,” she added.

As she began reading the note, she heard the champagne bottle break and Bloom struggled to get the big ring box out of his coat pocket, ultimately ripping his coat. Eventually, things got back on track and the helicopter landed on a rooftop in Los Angeles where the newly engaged couple’s family and friends were anxiously waiting.

“He did so well,” she gushed, calling her and Bloom “adventure buddies.”

Perry announced the engagement on Instagram by posting a photo of the ring and the caption, “full bloom.” Bloom followed suit and posted the same picture and captioned it, “Lifetimes.”

The pair began dating in 2016 after meeting at a Golden Globes party.
