Tragedy has struck in the family of popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Patoranking, as his sister, Chioma, lost her life in an explosion that happened in their home.

Chioma was said to have died instantly at the scene, while her husband, George, was badly injured and passed away days later on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, despite efforts to save him.

Media personality, Cutie Juls, shared the sad story through an Instagram post on Thursday.

She also posted a video showing the house after the tragic explosion.

According to Cutie Juls, the explosion occurred shortly after Chioma and her family had just celebrated a housewarming and their child’s birthday.

“Remember when I posted last week or so that his (Patoranking’s) sister passed away in a gas explosion incident in their home and the husband and child are battling for their lives in the hospital?

“The husband also couldn’t make it. He just passed away. Patoranking tried so much, buying tons of blood to help save his brother-in-law’s life so at least his nephew wouldn’t be an orphan.

“Remember he loves his sister so much. Abeg, his friends should help check on him.”

So far, Patoranking and his management have not yet responded to the sad news, as fans and loved ones are waiting to hear from them.
