Portable Set To Release New Single After Bail

The embattled musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is set to release a new music single detailing his 72-hour detention and a brief stay at the Ilaro correctional center in Ogun State.

Portable having met the bail-out condition, lay emphasis in his lyrics, “After God na Government”.

He disclosed that he isn’t a prisoner and that his foes should desist from his issue. His bail conditions required him to pay N300,000 with two sureties in the like sum for the stealing case and N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum for the assault case.

Portable’s single titled “Federal Government Property (FGP)” was leaked on social media shortly after his release.

The song portrays Portable as a proud property of the government and highlights the power of the government over individuals. He said in the lyrics, “dem carry me go prison, mio gbaso” This translated to, “I went to prison but wasn’t given a uniform”

Portable attended a court session in Ifo, where he was taken into custody and later released after his lawyers perfected his bail conditions. His cases have been adjourned till April 26th for trial.
