The Nigerian entertainment scene has been abuzz with reactions following the recent awarding of the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award to Bobrisky, a popular crossdresser who identifies as a woman, at a high-profile movie premiere in Lagos.

Among the voices was that of the musician Portable, who expressed his disapproval in a manner that caused further controversy.
At the premiere of the Yoruba Epic movie ‘Beast of two worlds’, Bobrisky’s all-black ensemble won her the coveted award along with a cash prize of N1 million. This decision led to debate on social media, with many questioning the criteria used by the judges for awarding a cross-dresser an award for women.
Portable, known for his hit ‘Zazoo Zeh’, did not hold back his thoughts, criticizing the judgment he said: “Na so I hear say dem give Bobrisky best female dressed of the year for movie. Shey na woman? No be artificial? Bobrisky na man now”

“You wey we know brotherhood con dey call yourself sisterhood. If you come my hood dressed as a woman, dem go beat you with firewood”
He also mentioned how the show organizers didn’t award the beautiful actresses at the event, but instead decided to give the award to a cross dresser.
Portable went on to speak about how children would see Bobrisky getting awarded a best dressed female award despite being a man and try to emulate him.

Bobrisky took to social media to address Portable’s comments, she said: “@portablebaeby ogun wan kpa ur mama? Wetin concern me with ur life ? I resemble ur fellow people in d ghetto? Na God go punish you. If you try shit with me i will take you to where they will deal with u and you ur dead career will end finally. Oloriburuku Omoale”

Bobrisky took her clapback further by posting pictures of him blocking Portable on Instagram with the caption: “There are some people you shouldn’t associate urself with in dis life lol, someone like dis unfortunately human being, I will not waste my time to reply him never !!!! He has been following me since i didn’t reciprocate cos i refused to be found among animals in human form.
“Liking someone is a choice not a must. You don’t like me why then follow me? I bob will not be found talking to a dirty human. If he was a reasonable person now i would have responded to him or put him in his place. But he’s nothing so it’s best i block him and let him continue barking. I’m a woman if you are pained go and hit ur head on the wall”
