See Emeka Ike’s “Insulting” Response To Trolls Over Political Ambition

It seems that politics is an avenue to bow from an ebbing career. A few Nollywood actors like Kenneth Okonkwo, Yul Edochie and Desmond Elliot have tried to transition to politics while Desmond Elliot was successful, Kenneth Okonkwo was not lucky.

Emeka Ike has recently followed suit expressing his desire to try his hand in politics- perhaps he is convinced he will make a good servant.

Emeka Ike has been associated with a lot of rumours and scandals during his acting years. There were rumours that he was abusive to his now estranged wife, rumours that he debunked. There were also reports that he lost his fortune in 2014 when the courts shut down his school, St Nicholas College Magodo because he allegedly did not pay rent on the property the school was situated in, he owed salary of staff for six months.

The actor was also involved in a power tussle with Ibinabo Faberesima over the presidency of Actors Guild of Nigeria.

After he announced the wish to run for House of Representatives, some Nigerians were sceptical and took to social media to express their views. He responded with very colourful posts.
