Spend Good Money for Your Tools: Tools are as important as the makeup products themselves. Using common brushes along with your high-class makeup products might not give you the professional feel and outcome you desire, especially for those dramatic contours finishing that makes your makeup stand out. When you Improve the quality of your brushes and use richer pigmented products, the application would immediately be better, even without improving your technique. So if you really want to apply your makeup like a pro, do what the professionals do: Use the proper brushes for application. There are eight basic brushes you need as a starter: Foundation brush, small blending brush, concealer brush, feathery soft powder brush, blush brush, flat eyes shadow brush, precision angle brush, and lip brush.

Know How to Hold your Tools: Once you have your tools, you need to know how to hold and use them. If you hold a brush in the middle, it demonstrates control. The closer your fingers are to the silver section beneath the brush head, the more pressure you put on the brush head and vice versa. In general, if you want to apply color evenly, place your fingers on the center of the brush handle.

Make Fake Brow Hairs Look Real: The biggest mistake women make with brows is choosing a color that’s too dark. Dark brows can make you look older. To avoid this, pick a color that is a couple shades lighter than your hair. Use your pencil right, apply more pressure at the bottom of the stroke and slowly ease off the pressure as you brush your stroke upward, using small strokes to make it look exactly like your natural brows.

Mix Primer with Foundation: If you don’t want to look like you plastered foundation all over your face, mix your foundation with a little of primer for a more translucent feel. Before now, people saw applying primer before foundation as the best, but not again. To retain your foundation’s coverage without looking caked on, use a little primer and blend seamlessly with the first layer of your foundation and you will never go back on this again. Plus, you get to reap the long-lasting durability that cream foundation has over liquids and powders. However, for those with oily skin type, use a damp sponge to apply it on your face. Most foundations have oil in its formula to give a coverage blend-ability. Using the sponge will pick up the pigment, but not the oil in the foundation, you will still get great coverage. For those with dry or a combination skin types, use your foundation brush and polish the foundation onto the skin, concentrating on the center of your face, which is typically where your skin has the most discoloration.

Know How to Use Colours to Manipulate on Your Flaws: The key to being successful with your makeup artistry is being able to identify undertones and knowing how to manipulate the color wheel to get rid of unwanted color on your face. Opposite colors cancel each other out, If you place them side by side, they help each other stand out. Use your color wheel to help manipulate on your eye shadows and eye liners. You should try using light brown pigmented concealer to cover redness or dark circles. Use orange hue to conceal blue. And so on. With this skill, you will be able to manipulate all skin type blemishes you come across.

Apply Eyeliners the Right Way: Eyeliner has always been a hit or miss thing for several people. Even if you are now a pro, there was pretty much a time you felt you needed a tutorial to help you get your eyeliner the right way. Yes! Every beginner so to speak had that challenge one time or the other. Let’s look at some tips to help you draw your eyeliner like a real pro.  (1) Don’t draw your liner all the way across your lash line in one motion. You’ll get bumps in your line with your liner catching on the loose skin which will, in turn, mess up the desired smoothness. Instead, go from the inner corner to the center of your lid, and start from the outside corner until you meet the existing liner. (2) Always starts with eyeliner on the lower lash line because it goes up at the outer corner, which gives you the angle that you should follow on your top lash line. Usually, when you do your top liner first you end up messing it up because you don’t know how far to take the line or how curved it should be.
