The achievement also crowns Tyla as the creator of the most streamed album ever by a female African artist on Spotify.
The album’s hit single Water has become a global anthem, racking up almost a billion streams on the platform.
This viral hit earned Tyla a Grammy in the newly introduced Best African Music Performance category during the 66th Grammy Awards.
Despite this triumph, her album and its deluxe version were not considered in the 67th Grammy nominations.
Tyla, who is often described as a trailblazer in African music, has dominated 2024 with multiple awards. These include one Grammy, three MTV EMAs, two BET Awards, one MTV VMA, and Billboard Global Force Award.

Back home, she has bagged accolades such as four South African Music Awards, one DStv Content Creator Award, and two Basadi in Music Awards, to name a few.
