Most times we tend to focus on just diet and workouts to lose fat and get fit, but what happens when your weight gain has nothing to do with what you eat. This is not to say you shouldn’t watch your diet and workout, but you should be aware that a couple of factors contribute to your overall weight gain.
Here are some reasons why you aren’t losing that weight.
Not getting enough sleep
During the period of your workouts, your body doesn’t lose weight. Your body sheds and repairs itself when you sleep. This is why it is very important to get enough sleep every night because the less sleep you get, the less repair your body will do and the less energy you’ll eventually have. This will make your body store the fat it is supposed to be burning.

Being stressed
The stress hormone in the body is cortisol and when the cortisol level of a body is high it affects your immune system: interferes with learning and memory, lowers immune function and bone density, increases weight gain, blood pressure, cholesterol and heart disease.
Exempt yourself from doing things that make you stressed.
