American rapper Bas has released the music video for his single “Jollof Rice” featuring fellow Dreamville artist EarthGang.

“Jollof Rice” was inspired by Bas’ 2018 trip to Nigeria with J. Cole, which Bas revealed in an interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio is a way of paying homage to Africa and the culture.

The track appeared on Bas’ latest project “Spilled Milk 1” which is part of a rollout for his upcoming full-length project.

In the fourth verse, Bas made a reference to Lagos:

“The payload like flipping bricks out in Lagos”

Bas is signed to J. Cole‘s Dreamville Records and Interscope Records. He was in Lagos, Nigeria in April of 2018 where he performed alongside J. Cole, Davido, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage for the Castle Lite Unlock concert.
