Actor, Olurotimi Akinosho professionally known as Rotimi has revealed that he will be joining the cast of “Coming to America 2”.

The Power star, known for playing Dre on the Starz hit series, Boss will be joining the original cast of Coming to America as well as new additions like Michael Blackson, Wesley Snipes, Jermaine Fowler, Teyana Taylor, KiKi Layne, Leslie Jones and more.

Original cast members including star Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Paul Bates, John Amos, Shari Headle, Louie Anderson, and Vanessa Bell Calloway.

Speaking on The Angie Martinez Show, he revealed he is excited about joining the classic film although his role has not yet been revealed.

He also talks about being executive producer for a new movie which he’ll also star in, titled Singleholic. It is a film about a woman who must become comfortable in her own skin after a bad breakup and series of unsuccessful dates, according to Essence.

The actor is currently gearing up for the sixth and final season of Power, which premieres Sunday, August 25.

During an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, August 4, 2017, Rotimi spoke about his Nigerian roots and growing up in America with a hardworking mum. Rotimi  who was born in New York spoke about when his parents came to America and his mum.

“My parents came when they were like 28. My mum came, she was homeless. She ended up graduating from and being a doctor. I have been a part of the true definition of hard work.”

He also revealed that his mother knew he was going to be in the entertainment business before he was even born.

“My mum is a prayer warrior. She’s very spiritual so when she was pregnant with me she had a dream about Bob Marley and he said “your son is going to finish my legacy”.
