Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has condemned the renewed killings in Benue State, describing the attacks as shocking and “insane.”

He made the statement on Monday morning in reaction to reports that gunmen suspected to be herdsmen invaded Yelewata community, killing over 100 people, including children.

Odumodublvck took to his X account to express his anger over a viral report that a woman lost all five of her children in the brutal attack.

“What’s happening in Benue is insane. Ahn ahn. A woman lost her five kids. Na film?” he wrote.
According to eyewitnesses and local leaders, the killings occurred over the weekend and have displaced many residents, raising fresh concerns over insecurity in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region.

This comes after music icon 2Baba, comedian AY, rapper Olamide, and other public figures also voiced their frustrations over the situation, calling on the government and stakeholders to act urgently.

Many Nigerians on social media have since joined the call, demanding swift action from President Bola Tinubu, the Benue State Government, and the security agencies.

As at press time, there has been no official statement from the Federal Government on the fresh wave of violence.
