It has been difficult for him to rise to the top in a field that is not renowned for producing many black stars. He claims to be adamant about breaking the glass ceiling for upcoming BAME performers.

Dominating each ceremony, According to Judge, he never anticipated getting the part.

“I’ll be 60 next year and to get this when I thought my career would be winding down, it’s a dream come true,” Judge wrote in a twitter post.

“I waited 35 years for this part and it almost seems unfair that I’m getting gifts because I got a gift of this part.”

After finishing college, the former collegiate football player transitioned into the entertainment industry, landing early appearances in programs including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, 21 Jump Street, and MacGyver.

He also played a regular character named Teal’c of Chulak in the military science fiction TV series Stargate SG-1 in the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises.

Yet Stargate was canceled in 2007 after ten years and more than 200 episodes. Judge discovered himself looking for employment once more. It was also difficult because there aren’t many black leading characters in sci-fi and fantasy literature.

But Judge is determined to make it easier for upcoming generations of black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) singers after achieving success with God Of War.
