Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats artiste David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reaffirmed her commitment to stand by her husband through all circumstances.
The couple exchanged vows on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at a white wedding ceremony in Miami, United States, following their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024 and a court ceremony in March 2023.
In her wedding vows, Chioma described Davido as her love, best friend, and “calm in my storm,” pledging to walk with him for life.
“You’re my love, you’re my best friend, you’re my calm in my storm. Nobody knows or loves us like we do. I want you to know that today I am holding your hands, and I am going to walk with you forever,” she said.
Davido, in his response, expressed deep affection for his bride, describing her as his “love, peace, and home.”
“Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home. You came into my life quietly and became the most loudest and beautiful part of it. You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see and you still choose me,” he said.
In a separate interview with Noire TV before the wedding, Chioma commended Davido for his consistent support for her personal ambitions.
“David cares a lot about my dreams. I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, but he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’ Then we would have plans and have stuff coming out in the next few months. He really cares about my personal dreams,” she said.
The couple share three children, including twins born in October 2023. Their relationship has endured public scrutiny and personal tragedy, including the loss of their first child, Ifeanyi, in 2022.
