Wizkid Shades Mourinho After Man Utd Sack

Nigerian afro-pop star Wizkid on Tuesday shaded Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho after he got sacked by his last employers Manchester United.

Manchester United announced that Jose Mourinho has left the club, days after the team’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

After the news of his sack, the social media space went agog with many of United fans, who were not pleased with Mourinho’s recent outings at the club, expressing their excitement.

While Wizkid was tweeting about his concert at Eko Hotel in Lagos, a Nigerian twitter user engaged him, saying, “wizzy , man utd has sacked mourinho,”

Wizkid then replied saying, “E dey happen” and informed his fans that the sacked manager will be at his latest concert in Lagos.

Although it is not known if the music star supports a football club. But, in a comical manner, he said Mourinho would be at his concert.

“Mourinho go dey eko hotel tmrw,” Wizkid said.

Mourinho, who joined United in May 2016 has not had the best of relationship with some of his players including Paul Pogba, who was stripped of vice-captaincy position at the club.

“Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect,” the club said in a statement.

The former Chelsea manager has also linked fans with the team’s poor performances and defensive displays during games.

Michael Carrick will be appointed as the temporary manager in place of the Portuguese.
