You’ll Never Reach My Level, Wizkid Tells Davido

Wizkid and Davido, two of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats superstars, have been engaging in a heated exchange on X which has escalated.

It all started when Wizkid was actively engaging fans on the X app, and subtly throwing jabs at Davido by responding to a fan’s request for new music with a viral video of Davido crying while on his knees.

The back-and-forth between the two artists began when Davido posted, “dem no know your Gbedu again,” to which Wizkid responded, “U and all ur crew plus ur pant washer song writer go to sleep at night thinking you actually got anything on me in music. wish u all well.”

This was swiftly followed by a reply from Peruzzi who said, “Swear Say You No Find Me.”

Peruzzi is a musician signed under DMW, a record label owned by Davido. He is known for writing majority of Davido’s hit songs including FIA, Nwa Baby, Risky, Assurance, and Unavailable.

The exchange escalated when Wizkid wrote, “U know what…no point. delusional niggas. pray for y’all,” to which Davido retorted, “WE NOT DELUSIONAL YOU’RE A SICK MAN.”

The beef between the two artists has been a topic of discussion for years.

According to Davido, the rivalry was fueled by fans. He claimed that he and Wizkid were longtime friends whose relationship soured as they both matured.

He also openly shared how Wizkid had reached out to him in 2022 following the tragic passing of his son. Both artists consistently emphasized that any beef between them was a thing of the past.

Things seem to have changed completely now as the two artists are now in a heated social media clash.
