14-year-old Arinze leads Rotary interactive clubs in Lagos, Ogun
A fourteen-year-old Senior Secondary School (SSS2) student of Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos State, Chukwukelu Arinze, has been installed as the 34th Rotary International District 9110 Interact Representative to oversee 124 active Interact clubs in Lagos and Ogun states.
Arinze, in his speech, promised to focus on girl-child issues, mental health and depression challenges facing teenagers and also promote international peace and understanding while building friendship among fellow Interactors.
At the investiture ceremony held at the Igbobi College Hall, Yaba, he was installed by a Past District Interact Representative Adedamola Adepoju and District Rotaract Representative Ayodeji Sobowale while the Rotary International District 9110 Governor, Remi Bello; Chairman of the event, Akin Mustapha Lusty; District Interact Committee Chairperson, Fatimah Hassan, who herself was an Interactor year back in her secondary school days, among others, witnessed the ceremony.
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people aged 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.
