It specifically commended the governor for appointing an indigene of the community , Chief Chijioke Nwakodo, into his cabinet as the Chief of Staff.
“Having served as the Chief Economic Adviser t during Gov. Theodore Orji’s administration, we do not have any doubts about the fact that he will perform creditably well under your administration.
“This illustrious son of ours will continue to bring his expertise to bear in the service of Abia State as you strive to transform the state.”
It noted that Ikpeazu was committed to making residents of the state to enjoy the dividends of democracy through his people-oriented programmes.
The governor had also given hopes to the common man by attracting development to the state, it said.
“We are overwhelmed with heart-felt gratitude to God and to our amiable Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for your focused leadership since News
your inauguration.
“In less than a year of your administration, your government has taken numerous positive steps in moving our state forward,’’ it said.
The group urged the governor to use his offices to give a voice to the voiceless, strength to the weak, food to the hungry, water to the thirsty and health to the sick.
It pledged its support and prayers to the governor while it urged Nwakodo to use his good offices to give hope to the hopeless.

It is indeed pleasing to read of the commendation that our Gov Okezie Ikpeazu has done commendably well during his first in office. Let’s for once have a governor who cares for his people and community. Abia needs to develop. The Gov needs to co-ordinate with his Diaporian Abians for greater development of our God’s Own State.
Our Gov needs to review the creation of kingdom in kingdom policy of previous governors that have helped to breed atmosphere of divisive and unhealthy rivalry among our families and villages. If properly investigated it will be discovered the divisive creation of those kingdoms in kingdoms have greatly set our State backwards since they were selfishly created.
More grease to your elbows.
We will review and take appropriate action.
