A group, Indomitable Tinubu Support Organisation (ITSO) has charged Nigerians to support Tinubu’s candidacy, urging the electorates to be prepared for positive economic revolution and improvement in the human development index with Tinubu at helm of affairs in 2023.

In a statement, yesterday, the Director General, ITSO, Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun, said: “The vast support base, wide networks and ongoing extensive consultations by the numero uno presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reinforced the beliefs and confidence of many Nigerians that a secured and prosperous country is in the offing, with him as the most suitable, competent and detribalised patriotic candidate for now.”

Balogun enjoined eligible voters to make use of the window created by INEC on the continuing registration exercise to ensure they register and get their PVCs.

Also, Support Group for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), yesterday, urged him to declare his intention to run for the office of the President come 2023. The group also appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to throw his weight behind Phis vice to succeed him.

This was contained in a five-point communiqué issued by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee of the one-day Declaration Conference by The New Tribe, Otu Ita Toyo, an All Progressives Party (APC) chieftain, held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The group said it believed that with Osinbajo’s loyalty to the President in the last six and half years, he must have understudied the office and would easily know where the shoes pitched.

“We call on the President to stand solidly behind this tested, loyal and his true apostle and ensure that a man like him, “who truly abhors corruption succeeds him to continue where he stops.”

“We believe Prof. Osinbajo should run by the sheer strength of his character and he will win by the strength of the people’s power,” Toyo said.

The Support Group that came from across the country promised to buy APC’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the vice president.

“Once again, the conference enjoins Nigerians from all walks of life to embrace the vision of the New Tribe.

While re-affirming ITSO’s commitment to Tinubu’s political ideology, Balogun said they would educate voters on their responsibilities during the pre-election period and on election day.

ITSO believes Tinubu is a sellable candidate for the party and we will be working to ensure he gets highest votes ever in the annals of presidential election to become the president in 363 days. To get this done, we are not only going to canvass and mobilise for votes for our leader, we are also going to engage in voter education to enable the electorates know and exercise their civic responsibilities.”

ITSO was formally inaugurated on February 22 as a new grassroots political movement galvanising support and mobilising Nigerians for the realisation of presidential ambition of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Toyo expressed the group’s readiness to carefully monitor events, as they unfold within the party and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and would engage more prominent Nigerians across party persuade the vice present to contest.

“ “We call on all our members from across the length and breadth of Nigeria to storm Abuja on March 26 to demonstrate to the party their love and support for this patriot and nationalist”, the statement read.
