A cleric, Prophetess Oluwayemisi Ajiye, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to draw closer to God as he prepares for the 2027 presidential election, saying his reelection would depend on faith and divine guidance.
Ajiye, who leads God’s Miracle Success Ministry Worldwide in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, gave the advice during her birthday anniversary celebration at the church.
She said the President must deepen his relationship with God, emphasising that success in leadership and the forthcoming election would hinge on spiritual commitment.
“My advice for our President is that he should be closer to God, love Him and walk more with Him because there is nothing anyone can do without God’s assistance,” she said.
“If he allows God to guide him and puts his faith in Him, he will be victorious in the forthcoming election.”
The cleric added that her prayers about the country’s future indicated that those who depend on God would enjoy protection and success, expressing optimism that Nigeria would witness improvement in the coming year.
She also urged the President to prioritise good governance by appointing competent individuals into government positions to ensure Nigerians benefit from the dividends of democracy.
Speaking on the state of the nation, Ajiye maintained that Nigeria’s progress depends on both leaders and citizens embracing faith and righteousness.
“Nigeria is in God’s hands, and that is why I advise all our leaders to be closer to Him. Between now and next year, we shall witness goodness in this country if we all return to God,” she said.
The event also featured tributes from members of her church, who described her as a compassionate and prayerful leader committed to the welfare of her followers.
