Ebonyi State indigenes and political stakeholders, resident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru, endorsing both leaders for second terms in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a high-profile gathering held in Abuja on Saturday, where political leaders, cultural groups, youth organisations and members of the Ebonyi community converged to reaffirm their support for the leadership of Tinubu and Nwifuru.

The event, described by participants as historic, was jointly championed by the FON Youth Movement, Abuja chapter, in collaboration with the Ebonyi State Community in the nation’s capital. It drew prominent personalities from across the state, including its three senators and six House of Representatives members.

Speakers at the event noted that the decision to endorse the two leaders was informed by what they described as “visible and measurable achievements” recorded under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs initiative.

A motion for the endorsement of the two leaders was moved by the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Onyekachi Nwebonyi (Ebonyi North) and seconded by the member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah.

In unanimously endorsing Tinubu and Nwifuru for second terms, participants maintained that continuity remained essential for sustaining the developmental strides currently being witnessed in the country and Ebonyi State.
