2027: PRP rejects ADC, insists party not for sales

PRP

The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has vowed to reject any attempt by the Coalition of African Democratic Congress (ADC) to forciful hijack the leadership of the party, insisted the “party is not for sales”.

Addressing a press conference Monday in Kano, National Chairman PRP Vanguard, Comrade Abdulmajid Yakubu Dauda insisted the socialism philosophy of the party will not be traded warning ‘depositors’ to be wary of scammers.

Dauda alleged that some personalities in Kaduna who have never been member of the party, now claim to preside over its affairs have indiscriminately invited members in the ADC and other crisis ridden parties to populate the PRP.

According to Dauda, ” The Kaduna Mafia is not the PRP. It is the enemy of the PRP. It is the establishment. It is the Arewa umbrella of the ruling class. It is not opposed to capitalist exploitation of the people.

“We are therefore employing this opportunity to tell Nigerians the simple truth: The PRP is not for sale to the highest bidder; Or to those who are eying it for purchase; we say this: buyer beware. Do not risk your deposit”. Dauda added.

Dauda affirmed the current crisis rocking the party already pending before the court, denied accepting any reconciliation with any group. The leader of the PRP Vanguard asserted that he would not give up the leadership of the party to those he accused as capitalists.

He claimed that PRP is the longest serving party of the masses in Nigeria formed by the working class, progressive intellectuals, nationalists, and the toiling masses. Dauda insisted that the labour of the founding fathers of the party was never created to serve the exploiting classes.

” We are still in court and to those who have called for a truce and asked for reconciliation so that the PRP can unite and face the 2027 general elections squarely I asked them three questions; unite on what basis?

“What is the status of the socialist orientation of the party in the hands of unelected bourgeois bureaucrats and careerists? What is the status of the existing structures of the party across the country that are outside the direct control of the Kaduna

“We cannot run a party such as the PRP with deep social roots like a personal fiefdom. The Kaduna Mafia is totally disconnected from the grassroots. It is trapped in its own bubble of cap in hand politics, currying favour from one billionaire to another during peak election season”. Dauda asserted
