Officials of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) have said the 45th edition of Kaduna International Trade Fair will draw participants from foreign countries and Nigeria, as well as chart the path for investment in the country’s economy.

The officials highlighted the level of preparations for the fair scheduled to hold at the Kaduna International Trade and Investment Centre early next year.

Speaking at a press conference, yesterday, the first Deputy President of KADCCIMA, Farouk Suleiman, disclosed the theme for the 45th edition as ‘Sustaining Economic Recovery through Deepening Local Content Value Chain., adding: “This theme was chosen to identify with the government’s policy in its attempt to deepen and encourage the deepening and implementation of local content initiative, which can be sustained by deploying certain programmes such as capacity building initiatives, funding and incentives as well as research and development, gap analysis, regulatory framework and market access.

“Deepening and sustaining this will go a long way in bailing out our economy from its present situation. What is happening in the oil and gas sector regarding the Nigerian content development is really commendable. More of this should be replicated in other sectors of the economy.”
