AbdulRazaq pledges frugality in Kwara
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has pledged not to fritter away or misappropriate the resources of Kwara State.
Restating his commitment to the betterment of the masses, who brought him to power in his speech at the second yearly Ilorin Grand Durbar yesterday in the capital, he added that prudent management of resources was imperative to drive sustainable growth.
Represented by his deputy, Kayode Alabi, the governor commended the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the Ilorin Emirate Council for organising the historical project.
AbdulRazaq resolved to institutionalise cultural activities in the state to boost tourism and economic development.
He described the festival as the heritage of Ilorin people and a testimony to the bravery of their descendants, especially the royal lineage of Sheikh Alimi.
