Abia to probe activities of security agents
Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has constituted a five-man panel to investigate alleged extra-judicial activities of suspected security agents at Ndiegoro area of Aba.
Confirming this yesterday, the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Kalu, said: “The governor further directed that the panel should look into the remote and immediate causes of the reported incidents to determine those involved, with a view to bringing the culprits to justice.”
The commissioner said that the panel, chaired by the governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Agwu Ukpai, was given two weeks to turn in its report, which is expected to evaluate losses as a result of the activities.
