Abiodun appoints new principals-general
Gov’s wife tasks children on hope, love at Christmas
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed four principals of secondary schools as principals-general for the four zones in the state.
They are Sobulo Olaniyi-Okanlawon for Egba Zone; Adeyemi Olaitan Abike for Ijebu Zone, Orobiyi Sunday Akanbi for Yewa Zone and Odukoya Olusegun Owodunni for Remo Zone.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kunle Somorin, Abiodun said the step became necessary following the retirement of all the principals-general sworn in in September 2020
The governor, who said the newly-appointed principals-general were chosen by merit and seniority, enjoined them to see their appointments as a call to bigger service.
“It is also to motivate teachers and give them the opportunity to attain the highest level in the public service,” he said.
MEANWHILE, children have been enjoined to always radiate hope and demonstrate love in their dealings, not only during the Christmas season but in their daily living as this would by extension impact society.
Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, gave the advice yesterday at the Children’s Christmas party organised by her office held at the Valley View Auditorium, Government House, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta.
