Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has said that the massive infrastructure and other developmental projects across the state were achieved due to the cooperation and support given to the present administration by
the people.

The governor, speaking during the official installation and presentation of staff of office to the new Ebi of Idena, Iperu, Ikenne Local Council, Oba Salami Lukman, at the weekend, said one of such laudable projects is the ongoing construction of the Agro-Cargo Airport in the council.

During the installation at Idena, Abiodun said the supports, which mostly come in the form of payment of taxes, rates and other levies are what his administration has been expending on provision of amenities to meet the desires, aspirations and other infrastructural needs of the residents.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kolawole Fagbohun, Abiodun said his administration cherished participatory governance, pledging government’s continued commitment to providing qualitative and value-driven leadership that would further propel the state into immense socio-economic development and prosperity.

The council’s chairman, Olusegun Ogunleye, urged the new monarch to selflessly work towards the socio-economic development of Idena by using his experience and exposure to attract genuine and worthy investors to create job opportunities for the youths.

In a related development, the governor charged the new Ayanperuwa of Sotubo in Sagamu Local Council, Oba Muyideen Soile, to use his royal status to attract investors from within and outside the borders of his town, for the swift growth and development of the community.

Presenting the staff of office to the new monarch, the governor said the action, when vigorously pursued, would bring expansion to the community and boost the economy of the state.
