Again Fubara takes Wike’s men, Danagogo, Chidi as SSG, Chief of Staff

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Dr. Tammy Danagogo as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Chidi Amadi, as Chief of Staff, Government House.

Danagogo served as SSG to the immediate past administration, led by Nyesom Wike, while Amadi, was former Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs under Wike’s government also.

A statement signed yesterday by the Special Assistant on media to the governor, Boniface Onyedi, said the appointment takes immediate effect.

The recent appointments brings the total number of persons in Fubara’s cabinet to 11. Nine of the number served under former governor Wike, while only two persons are fresh appointees.

Fubara had recently explained that the essence of nominating and appointing those who served under Wike’s administration was to consolidate his predecessor’s achievements.

However, residents have warned against undue influence on the present government.
