Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on Nigerians to demonstrate more patriotism, commitment and dedication towards overcoming the challenges of the present economic recession.

Ahmed, in his Independence Day message yesterday in Ilorin, said the economic situation would be short-lived if Nigerians across ethno-religious boundaries display the will to overcome it.

He urged Nigerians to have confidence in the present administration, assuring that “all things are being done to ensure that the days of economic recession are over in the shortest possible time.”

The governor assured Kwarans of his government’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy by embarking on infrastructural development and policies and programmes to meet their socio-economic needs.
