Aiyedatiwa seeks continued loyalty from workers
Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on Monday charged workers in the state to continue to be loyal to his administration.
Aiyedatiwa stated this during a meeting with all permanent secretaries and accounting officers in the state public service in Akure.
The governor noted that no administration could function without the genuine contribution of the civil servants.
He appreciated the support he had been enjoying since his inauguration as the governor of the state, and urged workers to collaborate more with his government in serving the people of the state.
Aiyedatiwa urged the workers to extend the same level of love, support and loyalty shown to his late principal, former Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu.
“As the Accounting Officers in your respective MDAs, you have great responsibilities on your shoulders.
“You are duty bound to account for both the management of human and material resources in your MDAs.
“You should also see yourselves as part of the government and ensure that all government programmes in your various MDAs are effectively and efficiently executed,” he said.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, commended the governor for all he had done for the workforce since his inauguration and pledged the support and loyalty of the civil service to his administration.
