Aiyedatiwa vows to fortify Ondo border communities with additional security

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, assured over the weekend that the security apparatus across the state’s border communities will be further fortified to eliminate the incessant activities of kidnappers.

According to Aiyedatiwa, he does not make empty promises and will deliver on his commitments to improve the state for all residents throughout his term in office.

Aiyedatiwa disclosed this during his campaign tour of Ose Local Council Area, where he visited several communities and engaged with stakeholders, including traditional rulers.

He assured that all abandoned road projects would be completed.

At the palace of the Alani of Idoani, Oba Major General Olufemi Olutoye (Rtd), Aiyedatiwa said: “Unlike other candidates making promises they won’t fulfil, I don’t believe in empty words. I will take action and deliver good governance.

“We know what the people of this region want even before they ask for it, which is why my Special Adviser on Infrastructure has been tasked to note your needs and report back for immediate action.

“We understand how important roads, healthcare, and education are to your people. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring no community is left behind. We are ready to serve you better and bring meaningful development to every corner of Ose Local Government.”

Aiyedatiwa appreciated their readiness to vote for him in the coming election, assuring them that his administration would remain focused on delivering meaningful progress and sustainable development.

Oba Olutoye and the Onidogun of Idogun, Oba Moses Ekundayo Bakare, called on the government to address the challenges posed by the poor road network in the region. They stressed that inadequate infrastructure has hindered economic activities and access to essential services in their communities.

Speaking at the Ose Local Government Secretariat, the Onimoru of Imoru, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to intensify efforts to address the security challenges affecting the region.

The monarch stressed the growing need for improved safety measures, particularly in rural communities, where residents have faced persistent security concerns.
