Akeredolu presents N191.6 billion 2022 budget to Assembly

House confirms Akinrotoye as Ondo State new Chief Judge

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has presented a budget proposal of N191.6 billion for the 2022 fiscal year, tagged: “Budget of Economic Re-Engineering,” to the state House of Assembly.

Akeredolu, who was represented by the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, presented the budget proposal at the plenary in Igbatoro Road, Akure.

He said that through the 2022 budget, his government would leverage on resources to source N44 billion from the financial market to accelerate the pace of development and job creation.

He said N79.621 billion was budgeted for capital expenditure and N102.106 billion for recurrent expenditure, representing an increase of 7.15 per cent over the 2021 recurrent expenditure budget.

MEANWHILE, the House has confirmed the appointment of Justice Williams Akintoroye as the new Chief Judge of the state.

His appointment followed the retirement of the former Chief Judge, Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu, after attaining statutory retirement age of 65 years.
